I am searching for a new position that utilizes my knowledge of collections management and organizational skills. I am willing to relocate and am looking forward to a new learning experience.

Professional Experience:
Upcountry History Museum, Greenville, South Carolina
• Managing Director, 3/15/2009-present – Manage all aspects of day-to-day operations. Development and oversight of annual operating budget of approximately $850,000. Coordinate, draft, and prepare grant proposals and funding requests to government agencies, private foundations, and individuals. Supervise staff of five full-time and 20 part-time employees, interns, and volunteers; plus board duties. Represent Museum at professional meetings, local civic groups and committees. Work with standing committees to develop organization’s policies, priorities, and activities. Assist in planning and implementation of public programs, including school programs, temporary exhibits, and other special programs and events.
• Curator of Collections and Exhibits, 08/2007-present. Responsible for the curation and preservation of 4 distinct collections – Museum Collection, Oral History Collection, Education Collection and Reference Library Collection. Prepared the Collections Policy and Emergency Preparedness Procedures Manual. Curate, prepare and install temporary exhibits and maintain permanent exhibits. Supervise special projects. Supervise interns and train volunteers. Assist with facility management and special events.
Office of the Secretary of State, Baton Rouge, LA
• Museum Specialist, 08/1994 – 05/1996, Louisiana State Archives. Supervised the operations and employees of 3 auxiliary institutions. Prepared exhibits, planned operating procedures, developed docent programs and trained all volunteers. Served as co-editor of Archives newsletter, "Legacy".
• Museum Curator, 09/1991 – 08/1994, Louisiana's Old State Capitol, Center for Political and Governmental History. Accessioned and maintained collection, prepared loans, and supervised student workers, interns and curators.
