Education: California State University, Northridge (2002 to 2005) Master of Arts degree in History with specializations in Archival Administration and European Studies California State University, Northridge (2000 to 2002) Bachelor of Arts degree in History Professional Experience: Processing Archivist - Toyota Motor Sales/Library Associates, Torrance CA (2005 to 2009) -Processed historical materials in a corporate archive consisting of about 1,000 linear feet of materials using standard archival practices as defined by the Society of American Archivists. Collections processed have included: Over 100 linear feet of Toyota product information including brochures and product photographs. 60 linear feet of Scion product information, magazines and ephemera. Approximately 70 record center boxes containing repair and owners manuals, parts catalogs and other technical publications. -Maintained and updated archival database (Cuadra STAR) as well as an internal archive website. -Provided research materials for various customers including internal and external information resources. -Played an integral role in Toyota’s 50th anniversary year in 2007 by providing materials to various magazines, websites and newspapers as well as providing material for a time capsule. -Designed and built the external website for the Toyota Vintage Vehicle Museum (http://toyotausamuseum.com/) highlighting some of the more important pieces in the collection. Archivist (part time, unpaid) – Torrance Historical Society, Torrance CA (2008) -Processed a collection of about 200 Torrance-area high school yearbooks. This included the selection of archival and reference copies, preservation of the books according to standard archival practices and cataloging in a Microsoft Access database. Archive Intern – California State University, Northridge CA (2004 to 2005) -Cataloged part of a collection containing approximately 100 linear feet of photos from a local politician’s office using a Microsoft Access database. Processed and cataloged a collection of labor newspapers. Computer Technician/Sales Associate – Demand Systems, Camarillo CA (1991 to 2000) -Put together computer systems from parts, tested the systems and installed software such as operating systems. Sold computer hardware and software. Purchased products for sale in the store. Processed returns. Installed and maintained network systems for customers.
