Volunteer at the
Non-Broadcast Media & Technology Conference The Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival and the Denver Museum of Nature & Science announce the first-ever conference uniting content creators, web designers and tech support industries with media professionals from NGO's museums, zoos, aquariums, parks and other public institutions. From high-end large format and 3-D programming, to exhibit installations and interactive kiosks, to handheld video podcast and web-distributed programming, there are myriad possibilities for collaboration. This September, join us in Jackson Hole for the 2008 Symposium. Network with your peers and create new alliances while exploring innovative media applications. Discover new opportunities for educational outreach using interactive exhibits and the web. We Need Volunteers! Volunteers will be needed for a variety of functions, including tech support, venue operations, special events, registration, set-up, and pre-production. Full-time, part-time, one day, multiple days... the needs are varied and flexible. The work is demanding, but the rewards are many. In the months leading up to the Jackson Hole Symposium, volunteers can earn discounted or complimentary passes. Ideal volunteers possess any or all of the following qualifications: • Technical skills associated with sound, lighting and multi-format video projection systems • PC and/or MAC computer skills • Superior organizational skills and flexibility • Experience in set design or set building • Stamina and a can-do attitude Volunteers who donate hours prior to and throughout the Symposium gain access to seminars, panel discussions, and film viewings subject to the schedule. Volunteers are required to work 30 hours in exchange for a Free Full Pass to the Symposium. Set up is Monday, 21st and Tear down is Friday the 26th – both days are required as well as 15 hours during the Symposium. Volunteer applications for the 2008 Symposium (September 23-25) are now available! Please contact the 2008 Symposium Volunteer Coordinator, Moira McGinley, if you want to volunteer. She can be reached at moira@jhfestival.org and 307.733.7016.
