Position Description/Responsiblities:
This is a limited, 18-month appointment to work on specific projects. These projects will include exhibit research (World War I and general Missouri history); creation of online exhibit enhancements and online access to collections information; accessioning of a 5000-piece, recently-acquired artifact collection; collections records reconciliation; resolving long-term artifact loan issues; and communication with local museums, archives and historical societies.

Desired Qualifications:
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABITILITES:
• Knowledge of research methods associated with historical or natural history investigation.
• Ability to properly care for and maintain artifacts and exhibits.
• Experience with cataloguing artifacts and computerized collection management systems.
• Ability to develop physical and/or online exhibits, preferably in a museum setting.
• Ability to work independently and on detailed tasks.
• Ability to lift and carry 40-pound boxes unassisted.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Good communications skills (oral and written) and demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
• Applied proficiency with Photoshop and PastPerfect preferred.
