Loaning Paintings to Museums?

I am a collector of Hudson River and Barbizon art. I want to continue to collect/restore art for the cultural importance it represents. To that end, I am interested in acquiring more pieces and loaning them to museums for extended periods of time (5-10 years, possibly longer). I am even willing to allow the museums to select the pieces I acquire. I am not soliciting anyone here, I am simply looking for guidance. I would appreciate any guidance anyone can lend.
