Responsibilities: Supervision and management of the Docent Programs. . Management of the booking of public and private tours, and coordinates with Volunteer Tour Coordinator.. Research, development and implementation of museum/school collaborations through integrated curriculum, teaching resources and staff development opportunities for educators in the Dallas Public Schools and surrounding districts. . Implementation of an internship program for undergraduate and graduate art history and art education students. Development of a self-guide for families.. Design and curricula for an interactive space called the Family Center. . Integration and facilitation of the Educational Advisory Committee. . Research, development and implementation of Family Programs including CampAsia and Family Days.. Research, development and implementation of a lecture series and special educational programming events.. Planning of the annual departmental budget and operation of programs and supplies throughout the year in a fiscally sound manner.. Support of programs and events sponsored by partner community groups including IANT, GDAACC, Japan America Society of DFW, SMU, Dallas Museum of Art, and/or others.. Integration of effective professional development including attendance and presentations to the State and National Art Education Association conferences pertaining to the Crow Collection of Asian Art.. Performs additional duties as directed. Desired Qualifications: Masters Degree in Art Education, Art History, Asian Studies or related field preferred; 3-5 years of teaching or museum experience; public speaking skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
