Headline: Seeking Educator Opportunity- Enthusiastic and Experienced!
Name: Jessica Brittany Taylor Email Address: irishvalkyri@yahoo.com Current Location: Cedar Hills, Utah, USA Preferred Job Category: Education Personal Statement: Dear Friends, It is a pleasure to put my resume forward for the consideration of all museum employers who require assistance in reaching out to the general public through education. I have recently completed a postgraduate degree in Medieval Studies at the University of York and would like to expand my educational experience from academia to the public sector. As a former room-steward for the York Archaeological Trust and a member of interpretive staff at Murton Park’s living history site, I have learned that interaction and enthusiasm are vital tools for connecting the public with the past. Having obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology, I also endeavor to understand how people can better connect with their own cultural heritage. I am comfortable with instructing all age groups and it is my desire to help people become closer to their unique history through the education and interaction that museums offer. As a postgraduate and a former receptionist for a company that digitalized library records, I have skills in research, data-entry, writing, typing, experience with Microsoft Word and Excel and fluency in Latin. I would also bring experience, a commitment to learning, and a high level of enthusiasm to any museum. I have been noted by previous employers as an outgoing, trustworthy individual and I am quickly adaptable to whatever the situation demands. I am available to work any day of the week with the exception of Sundays. If you have any questions regarding my resume, availability, or any other inquiries please don't hesitate to contact me at irishvalkyri@yahoo.com or 801-735-3263.
