Position Description/Responsiblities:
The Children’s Museum Research Program Coordinator is responsible for the operation and further development of the Children’s Museum’s Child advocacy research programs and coordination of the exhibits and prototype testing programs. Their work is focused on conducting research into the trends, methodologies and philosophies relevant to the children’s museum field, analyzing collected data and producing tangible, quality reports of research findings. The Research Program Coordinator coordinates and facilitates the work of the Children’s Museum’s researchers (both full time and volunteer researchers). They also interface and collaborate with the child advocacy research consultants in the analysis of research conducted. The Research Program Coordinator also manages the child advocacy research programs, youth moderator training programs, program and exhibitions prototype programs. As a specialist in their field they are responsible for the training and mentoring of the research team and coordination of the work of field researchers.

Desired Qualifications:
A degree in Psychology or anthropology preferred but not essential. (Master’s degree preferred). A Bachelor Degree in Museum Studies or Museum Education or related field is also acceptable.
Experience in managing multiple audience/market research programs simultaneously.
Experience conducting such research in the Saudi community is preferred.
Special expertise in qualitative research and design. Extensive expertise with the special research challenges associated with children 6-12.
