Personal Statement:
I am looking to continue my career as exhibition designer. I lost my job as such in Puerto Rico due to budget-cuts, and have relocated to Miami, FL in hopes of finding more Museum positions available here.

My official title at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Puerto Rico was "Education Coordinator"; while my main duties were that of Exhibition Designer my job entailed a much wider range of duties, including assisting the registrar, conservationist, and even the museum director.
I have experience working with large and small installations of a wide range of mediums including painting, sculpture and video. I am a perfectionist with great attention to detail who always gets the work done on time, as anyone I have worked with can tell you. I have experience working under tight deadlines in which I have had to work long hours while supervising about 11 employees in the preparation of exhibitions at the “Museo de Arte Contemporaneo de Puerto Rico” (Contemporary Art Museum of Puerto Rico), where I worked as "Education Coordinator" for about 5 years. While I do have a good amount of experience under my belt, I am still young and there is always room to grow. I hope that you will give me the opportunity to lend my experience, and that in turn I will get the opportunity to expand that experience and grow in this profession.

Education Coordinator: In charge of permanent and temporary exhibitions.
Duties included:
- conceptualization, as well as, the realization of the activities, such as planning, organizing, directing, setting-up, opening of the exhibitions;
- design of the exhibition halls: coordination, theme selection, artwork selection, placement, illumination

- moving the works of art from storage to exhibition hall, and back. This includes all data entry involved in this process
- monitoring the temperature in storage rooms, making sure the works are in optimal condition
- deciding which works of art need to be restored
