Default Disaster Recovery Assistance Aid?

Is there any organization that is set up to aid museums in areas affected by disasters of any kind? I would like to join one to help places like Japan or Haiti recover and restore museums, artifacts, or any cultural items that have been affected by these natural disasters. I have not found any websites that have crews of paid or volunteers that are willing to do this, I was wondering if I just haven't found it.

Any suggestions are welcome!

Enjoy the day

Try contacting the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works. They have helped in Haiti and Japan, as well as across the US. Here's their website: AIC - AIC-CERT

Good luck!
