Has anyone ever experienced shorter lamp life as a result of track heads being located right in front of or below air vents?
We are getting ready to do some renovations and the architect is proposing the air vents be right next to the track. The head of the design departments says he used to have problems with this at a museum in NYC, but I have never heard of or experienced any such problems. |

I have not experienced this problem and have one exhibit space that has the track near the vents. I would think you would have a longer life expectancy with the lamps because the vents would keep cooler air circulating around the fixtures. Cooler lamps equals longer life in my experience.
