- Journalism degree. More than 20 years writing and editing experience in newspapers, magazines, websites, books; radio experience. Since 2003 have been at the Spencer. Direct museum’s communications, including publications, website, development initiatives, marketing, advertising, and media relations. Plan and coordinate communications. Work closely with curators and other relevant staff to edit and refine all labels and educational materials for galleries and temporary exhibitions. Select and supervise communications intern. Develop budget for advertising and marketing of the museum. Produce weekly electronic newsletter and other special e-mail announcements. Assist in grant writing, event planning, and fundraising. Serve as the staff liaison, with the Director of Education, for the Spencer’s Student Advisory Board. Coordinate Spencer Art Minute program for Kansas Public Radio.
