- I have been conferred with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Anthropology with a minor in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and I am currently a graduate student at the University of Texas at Arlington, working towards earning my Masters of Arts degree in Anthropology. My final Master's research project is entitled “Wrangling In Diverse Audiences: Envisioning a Multicultural “Wild Wild West” Experience” and is a study of how the National Multicultural Western Heritage Museum, a museum designed to reach audiences comprised of historically neglected American minority ethnic groups, is attempting to include these audiences in the Museum’s exhibits and programs while simultaneously challenging the prevalent notion that American minority ethnic groups did not significantly contribute to the development of the American Western Frontier. I am expected to graduate with my Masters Degree in May 2011. Thinking as an anthropologist, I believe I will have an open-mind and a better perspective as to understanding different people from different cultures. Both my anthropological academic background as well as previous museum work experience has prepared me to work in an environment with a diverse group of people.
