- Bio
- I graduated college as an Anthropologist and hoped into Archaeology. After a couple of years I found I loved being in the lab more than the field and the next logical step was a museum. I interned at the museum for almost two years before Hurricane Katrina. The museum was devastated be the storm to the point that well over 11,000 artifacts were affected. I was awarded a contract to head-up the recovery and organization of the affected items. I quickly became the resident go to concerning disaster prep and recovery. By the end of my contract, I had rewritten the museums disaster recovery guide and generated the "d-Plan" for our institution. Thankfully with the end of my contract at hand, the powers that be decided they really needed me on staff so here I sit, loving most of what it means to be in the museum field. The only thing left for me to do is get my masters degree in Museum Studies and that will begin as soon as I get excepted to one of the programs I am applying too.
