- He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Political Studies) from the University of the Western Cape. In addition, he holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Heritage and Museum Studies (joint programme of the Universities of Cape Town and Western Cape with the Robben Island Museum). He has recently completed a MA in Public and Visual History (cum laude) at UWC and is now pursuing a PhD in Heritage Education and Management at the University of the Witwatersrand. He has worked for the District Six Museum, Human Sciences Research Council and consulted for various government departments and organisations in the areas of arts, culture, heritage and publishing. He is currently a Research Fellow at the national Department of Education in Pretoria.
