Professional Experience:
March 2005 - December 2008: Associate Director of Historic Landscapes, Plimoth Plantation, an outdoor living history museum in Plymouth MA
• Responsible for Horticulture and Grounds Department with annual budget of $164,000, and an Environmental History and Education grant budget from the EPA totaling $694,000
• Project Manager for construction of new ADA compliant pathway system from Visitor Center to Wampanoag Homesite and landscape restoration along its route
• Lead restoration of formal gardens and plantings from the 1920s era private estate on which Plimoth Plantation is built
• Developed greenhouse management plan and supervised propagation for growing annual and perennial plants used on site and sold at annual plant sale.


1996 - Present: Owner of Great Hill Horticultural Services, part time design and consulting business
• Prepared planting plans and specifications for gardens, commercial landscapes, and wetland restorations

1987 - 2005: Assistant Supervisor of Horticulture and Landscaping for Oak Spring Farms LLC, the private estate of Paul and Rachel Mellon, Osterville MA consisting of 30 acres of gardens, lawns, meadows and woodlands.
• Grew 8000 annual and perennial plants per year in greenhouses and set up a database in Microsoft Access to keep track of all plants used on the estate
• Planted and maintained extensive ornamental gardens
• Supervised grounds staff and outside contractors
• Established a 2-acre wildflower meadow in continuous bloom from May through September
• Participated in numerous projects for erosion control, beach nourishment and wildlife habitat enhancement
