We are exploring the idea of implementing an "Adopt an Artifact" program at our museum. I'm interested in hearing from others who have similar programs at their organizations.
I'm also including links to some online resources that discuss programs on funding collections care: Heritage Health Index and IMLS publication "Capitalizing on Collections Care" https://www.heritagepreservation.org/PDFS/COClo.pdf Chicago History Museum Adopt an Artifact program http://www.chicagohistory.org/support/adopt |

I developed a general adopt an artifact form for our museum. I send them out when I send out the Deeds of Gift for donations. We've had a number of donors who have sent us donations-- between $25 and $50. I would be more than happy to send you a copy of ours, if you'd like.

Lisa, I have just joined this site. I would also like to see a copy of your letter as we are also discussing an Adopt an Artifact Program at my museum. I don't know if I have to add anything else to this message. My apologies if I do.
