Good morning,
I am Robynne, I am the archivist at the US Army Women's Museum, in Fort Lee, VA. The museum was started at Fort McClellan, AL in the early 60's and was moved here in 2000-2001 for BRAC realignment. We have artifacts, archives, educational programs, soldier training, a brand new Educational Resource Center, and a dedicated staff working to collect, document, preserve and promote the stories of women in the Army. The history of the Army is huge, and one of the ways to best understand it is to examine it from a perspective. We do just that, we examine, interpret and explain Army history from a woman's point of view. I am incredibly blessed to be here, it truly is a new archivist's dream, and I hope that if by chance you are on the east coast, you will get to stop by. Robynne |
