YES, there is more to Orlando than Disney and Universal!!!
![]() The Orange County Regional History Center is located in downtown Orlando in the old 1927 courthouse building. We are an AAM accredited, Smithsonian Affiliate, and it seems like we always have something going on! We are currently hosting Kid Stuff: Great Toys from our Childhood thru April 13, 2008. We just opened a new permanent exhibit at The History Center called Destination Florida: Tourism before Disney. Believe it or not, Central Florida has been a touris mecca for over 100 years! We have souvenirs from Cypress Gardens, Silver Springs, Daytona Beach, Weeki Wachee Springs, and more! The Orange County Regional History Center is currently hosting "Jim Henson's Fantastic World" a traveling exhibit from the Smithsonia. Stop by and see Kermit, Rowlf, Mahna Mahna and the Snowths, Bert and Ernie and more of Henson's fantastic creations. The exhibit runs through May 3, 2009.
